My Wacom tablet is bulging

My Wacom tablet has a bulge now. At first I was still using it, but now I think it's getting worse, and I decided on not using it. Could I just get this fixed anywhere, or have the battery removed and still be usable when plugged in?

  I have the same issue, my BT tablet has a bulge on the underside and does not sit flat anymore. I suspect it is the internal battery. It is so difficult to use now especially for using the brush in Photoshop because the tablet wobbles upon applying pressure. What can be done? It is currently out of warranty.
