New user in need of assistance

So for Christmas my parents bought me a Wacom One tablet, I've tried turning it on and getting it to work but its just not working... I've tried plugging the cord that came with the tablet into my computer but it detects the tablet but when I attempt to turn it on nothing happens... Then I tried plugging a HDMI cord and the cord that came with the box into a adapter and putting it into the tablets port... It kinda worked but it just kept saying no usb detected... Can someone please help me here? I really want to get into drawing...

  Thanks for reaching out. Can you tell me what kind of computer are you using? Do you know if it has a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate mode? 

  I see you have the Wacom One 14 which has only a few possible connection configurations:https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/34981331476759-How-do-I-connect-the-Wacom-One-14-DTC141-to-a-computer

  If you are using an adapter, then please make sure you can get one that support HDMI (for Video), USB (for pen input data) and Power Delivery (also through USB-C, to power on your Wacom One 14).
