Your Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 features three USB-C ports. When your Pen Display is oriented with the Wacom logo at the bottom in the middle, we refer to these as follows:
- Port 1:located on the on the left edge of the Wacom Cintiq Pro at the top, or furthest away from the Wacom logo.
- Port 2:located adjacent to and below Port 1, closest to the Wacom logo on the left edge of the Wacom Cintiq Pro.
- Port 3:located on the on the right edge of the Wacom Cintiq Pro at the top, near the SD Card slot.
Connecting Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 to a USB-C port on your computer:
- When connected to Port 1, the Cintiq Pro 16 can support up to 4K (3840 X 2160) resolution. This USB-C channel/port is designed to maximize display quality.
- When connected to Port 2, the Cintiq Pro 16 can support up to 2K (2560 X 1440) resolution. This USB-C channel/port is designed to maximize data channel performance.
- When connected to Port 3, the Cintiq Pro 16 can support up to 2K (2560 X 1440) resolution. This USB-C channel/port is designed to maximize data channel performance.
Please note that when connecting a USB device (other than the AC power adapter) to one of the other ports, you may experience slower data transfer speeds.
Connecting Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 to DisplayPort on your computer
When connecting Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 to DisplayPort and standard USB-A ports on your computer, connect the included USB-C cable to any port (Port 1, 2 or 3) on the display and the Wacom Link adaptor. Then connect a mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable (sold separately) and the included USB-A cable to the Wacom Link and your computer. Using the Wacom Link adapter, your Cintiq Pro 16 can support up to 2K (2560 X 1440) screen resolution. The Wacom Link adaptor offers USB 2.0 data bandwidth. You may experience slow data transfer speed when connecting a USB hub to another USB-C port.
Connecting Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 to Mini DisplayPort on your computer
When connecting Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 to Mini DisplayPort and standard USB-A ports on your computer, connect the included USB-C cable to any port (Port 1, 2 or 3) on the display and the Wacom Link adaptor. Then connect the included mini DisplayPort and USB-A cables to the Wacom Link and your computer. Using the Wacom Link adapter, the Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 supports up to 2K (2560 X 1440) resolution. The Wacom Link adapter allows USB 2.0 data transfer speeds. When connecting a USB device to one of the other ports, you may experience slow data transfer speeds.
