Pen is not clicking
I have the Intuos Pro Tablet (Smal) PTH-451 and my pen is not working. My computer can recognize the tablet as well as the pen pressure sensitivity but will not click. This is the first time using it on this Mac, so the driver is newly installed. I'm using it on Mac Monterey Version 12.6.2.

Hi,
Please double check the security settings on your Mac OS:

I've been having issues with my Intuos 5 where the pen wont click when the driver is running. I did a driver check in Wacom Desktop Centre > Support > Driver Check and it stopped the driver. The tablet went into "mouse" mode (a feature BTW I love b/c XP-Pens don't do they, they just brick for me without the driver running properly) and the pen clicked correctly again. The Driver Check portal couldn't restart the driver. I tired restating several times and no joy.
So I reinstalled the same driver that is suitable for Intuos Pro 5 (S) on Ventura 13.6 (Control Pad Version & Driver Version 6.3.46-2). Even though my System Settings never need reseting after reinstalling the driver I wanted to see the prompts to allow Wacom Driver access in Privacy & Security > Automation etc etc. The pen still wasn't clicking and the driver didn't seem to be loaded. I reinstalled again (second time tonight, fourth time in a few days) and then got the Privacy & Security prompts and then all of a sudden the pen became responsive as a stylus and the pen clicking was back to normal.
It took me over an hour of fritting around and reading various Wacom knowledge base articles in the FAQ etc and watching the install vide before I had a solution. Although I much prefer the Wacom driver functionality to XP-Pen (for example) as it has so many more options for setting controls and Application based settings, the XP-Pen driver does tend to just work more than the Wacom which I have to freak around with every few months.
I only recently discovered there was a driver to use my old Intuos Pro 5 Touch, when I rang Wacom in 2019 they told me it wasn't supported on the more recent macOS versions, bad luck. So I bought a cheap XP-Pen, I almost never use pen tilt these days… and have a couple of those but I recently had an issue where I left my stylus behind in another city and had no mouse so couldn't log into my Mac. so in desperation I plugged the Wacom in and it worked in "mouse mode" but then to my surprise it actually worked as a stylus (probably after I updated the driver to the most recent that supports Ventura) and it was all good again. It Love being able to set it up to map to a single monitor when I'm using Autocad but then two monitors in Finder and other graphic design apps. The (X,Y) wobbles too much to use it effectively in Autocad mapped to two 27" 4K displays at active resolution for both. But having it automatically switch to mapping to my right monitor whenever I'm in Autocad is great.
If I want the Properties pallet on the left screen I just use Command + Tab to go into Finder or any other app and the pen remaps to both screens and I can click on the properties pallet and drag it back onto the right screen or use keyboard controls to tab through the input fields.
I just wish Wacom would do more thorough bug detection on their drivers because I've never know a Wacom tablet to not be temperamental and I've owned quite a few over the last 30 years.0
