I need a step-by-step guide on how i can use wacom bamboo slate with debian 12, and blue tooth, and gimp or krita.
Right now i can't even pair the device.. What drivers do i need for debian 12, how do i pair the device, and how do i set it up in gimp, and/or krita? Or some open source software in debian.. I need to paint in gimp, and cant use a mouse.. I wanna create in "real time". Live. Thanks!
Also, it's not that detailed with the proprietary inkspace app. Is that because i draw with half the papers on the tablet so it misses at places? One paper would be the best then i assume, makes most sense of-course. I have not tried it yet..

Wacom does not offer a Linux driver directly, but you maybe find here what you are looking for: https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500006331202-Does-Wacom-have-a-Tablet-Driver-that-will-support-Linux-
Maybe this is also of interesst for you: https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/4418596557207-Which-Linux-distributions-offer-the-best-Wacom-device-support-
Hope that helps.

Hi jon doe,
Bamboo Slate requires the Inkspace App which is only available on the more usual operating systems. Even if you manage to pair through Bluetooth, it will probably not work. I don't think the Slate is listed on libwacom.
You can still ask the Linux team: https://github.com/linuxwacom/libwacom/issues
Bamboo Slate specifications: https://www.wacom.com/en-dk/products/bamboo-slate-and-bamboo-folio#Specifications
It is not meant to Linux so we recommend that you try with a compatible device instead.
