Modifier keys, express keys not working with Photoshop 2025
I have been using an Intuos M CTL-6100 with previous versions of Photoshop. I have the bottom button on the pen to control the size and hardness of the Brush tool, I have also set the express keys to perform specific tasks such as 'duplicate a layer' etc. These have all worked fine up until now.
With the latest update of Photoshop I set the pen and tablet up excatly the same as with previous versions. However, the pen buttons do not work and only the outer two express buttons on the tablet perform the assigned tasks.
I have reinstalled Wacom Drivers and I have reinstalled Photoshop 2025 plus a few other things. Nothing works. Recommendations for a fix are welcome.

Hi Kevin Flanagan,
Can you specify which Operating system you are using?
I'm not sure but this sounds like the known Mac issue we are currently working on:

I just replaced my Small Intuous Pro with a new medium tablet. The Express keys work fine in Adobe Bridge but do not work when trying to assign them in Photoshop 2025. I am working on a MacBook Pro M1 Max. OS is Sequoia 15.1.1. I have checked for duplicate versions of photoshop on my machine and also reset my preferences in PS and they still do not work.

Hi Eddie Williams,
That is strange. Could you please contact the support team and provide some logs:

I contacted Wacom support yesterday and they recommended that I contact Adobe. I updated Photoshop this morning to v26.1 still the same issue. Express Keys work fine in Adobe Bridge and Safari. Should I contact Wacom Support again?

Hi, my original problem was solved by deleting the older version of photoshop. That worked for a few weeks and then suddenly reoccured. I discovered that the WACOM settings for Photoshop had been reset to default and the custom settings had been assigned to ‘All Other Apps’. Once I copied those back to the Photoshop tab everything worked fine. Hope that helps.

- UPDATE> I found a way to go back into Adobe Cloud and install an older version of Photoshop. I installed Photoshop 2024 v25.11. I chose that as the app for the expresskeys and they now work. If I use the latest application Photoshop 2025 v26.1 the expressways do not work I now have versions 2024 & 2025 on my MacBook Pro. The odd thing is with 2024 assigned as the app, the express keys now work in 2025 v26.1

Eddie, so i want to make sure I am reading this correctly. You reinstalled PS2024 and mapped the remote to that. But when you edit you open PS2025 and the remote with all your shortcuts you added to it work on PS2025 now, correct?
So essentially I should have both ps2024 & 2025 installed, on the wacom only add ps2024 amd map the shortcuts i want to the remote. Then edit in Ps2025.
My expresskeys remote works great on LRC, capture one…but i can’t save anything to the remote for ps2025

I do not have a remote but Yes, I installed PS 2024 25.11. I assigned that version to my express keys on my medium Intuos Pro. When opening and working in PS 2024 the express keys now work. The odd thing is if I open PS 2025 v26.1 the same express keys work. (MacBook Pro M1 Max OS 15.1.1
