Wacom One Pen only working for a few seconds in Photoshop or Lightroom but works ok elsewhere

Since updating the driver, the pen no longer works in Adobe. When I open photoshop it works for about 10 seconds and then stops. If I minimise photoshop, the pen works find on my laptop elsewhere. I've tried uninstalling it, I've tried updating photoshop 2024 and also tried installing photoshop 2025. Bizarely you can reset it by clicking on the system tray on the taskbar but again only works for about 10 seconds. I'm using windows. Any help would be gratefully received!

EDIT: I've now got it working but now my expresskey remote isn't working. I briefly got it to recognise it but when it did, the pen went back to only working briefly. I'm at a complete loss!
