Setting up Cintiq 16 on Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt ports

    Can you please confirm which version of the Cintiq 16 you have purchased? One version uses the Display Settings app (DTK1660) and the more recent one (DTK168) has all the settings in the machine itself so it will not work with the Display Settings app. 

    If you have the former, please check your connections again and make sure the Cintiq is properly detected by the system as a display and that all the Display information is provided. You can do this by opening the System Information MacOS App and checking the connected displays. 

    If it is being detected as a generic display, then the Display Settings App will not be able to recognize it as a Cintiq. Since you are using an adapter, I would recommend trying a different one with slightly higher specifications.
