New pen unable to connect to drawing pad

These are the pen and the pad models I'm currently using. I lost my old pen, and I'm trying to get the new one to connect, but so far with no luck. I've tried restarting my computer, updating the centre, reinstalling the Wacom centre hardrives, connecting the pad using a cable instead of just Bluetooth. But nothing has worked. Are these models just not compatible or have I missed something? I thought the pens just automatically connected, but maybe I am wrong. If anyone has any answers, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

  Hi Theo, 

  Sorry.  That pen is not compatible with that tablet. You need the LP-1100 (or LP1100) instead of the LP190.
