Pen only working as a mouse, no pressure sensitiity

I am reusing again an Intuos Pro I got maybe ten years ago (haven't used in at least five years). I contacted Wacom with serial number and current OS and was told definitely it is compatible. I installed the necessary driver. However the pen is only operating as a mouse - moving around and click. No pressure sensitivity. The pressure sensitivity is registering in the driver - so it is working. But not in the graphics app I am using at the moment (Affinity Photo).

I also followed some of the prompts to check in Syste mSettings in the Privacy tab. Not sure if that is relevant.  

How can I troubleshoot this? Why is it not working? Thank you for any help.
