Stop losing my settings

Why is it ok for the Wacom driver software to update itself and forget all our personal settings every now and then. I did nothing to lose my settings it's all on Wacom, time and time again. It's like randomly having your arm tied behind your back when you're the most busy. Expect frustration at the product.
