Help! Mac Alerts stop driver responding - can't close alert

I have a new Mac (Sequoia 15.3.2) and every time my Wacom tablet has a low battery alert pop up, my tablet disconnects. I press the centre button to reconnect the bluetooth like I always did on my other MacBook. It appears to work. However without dismissing the low battery alert by clicking "okay" the mouse won't respond at all. And I can't dismiss the alert without a mouse. I have tried to find a keyboard shortcut to no avail. In the end I have to restart the computer completely to get the tablet working again.

Please help!!
