backup gone?

every new install my old backup and settings are gone on my 2017 Wacom intuos medium pro tablet. (iMac 2019 27") What is happening? Also the last update from Apple disabled the Wacom tablet. Had to reinstall, and guess, all settings are gone. 

Anybody an idea what is going on?
