Wacom Link-ACK42719 Alternative for DTH-W1320 Hybrid mode

Has anybody found a working alternative for the (no longer available) Wacom Link adapter to use a Mobilestudio Pro in Hybrid mode with a computer with no USB-C Thunderbolt port?

  I remember some years ago I randomly tested Hybrid mode with a multiport adapter while connecting to a Mac and I think it worked fine. Don't ask me which model it was though... 

  I think the key here is to make sure that the video signal can be transmitted by the adapter in both directions since the MSP needs a video input signal to activate hybrid mode. 

  I would order a few adapters (making sure they can be returned in case they don't work) and test this out if possible.
