Openboard and Wacom tablet/pen compatibility?

I have a Wacom tablet that I'd like to use with the Windows version of Openboard.  My Logitech mouse is recognized by Openboard but with the Wacom directly connected to my laptop's USB port (2.x or 3.x) I can't get Openboard to 'see' the stylus pen.  How can I get this connection so I can write rather than 'mouse' around the PDF documents of my students?

Here's my Wacom details (all updates applied, afaikn)

  I am not really familiar with OpenBoard so I am not sure what can be done here.

  Bear in mind that all Wacom pads are essentially and input device like a mouse once you set them up properly. 

  If you haven't yet, please make sure you install the Wacom driver.
