    Hi John Giatropoulos

    Thanks for reaching out.

Which operating system and Wacom driver are you using?

From your description, that looks like a Lightroom issue. Is it also laggy when navigating your operating system or other apps? If it was a problem with the tablet or the driver:

    1. It wouldn't start after a Lightroom update
    2. Other Apps would also be affected

Windows 11 Wacom driver is up to date

I've downloaded and reinstalled the driver, have set everything to defaults

Now after playing around quite a bit this morning, I've discovered that after clicking the subject icon in the masks panel of LR, if I lift my hand so it is not touching the tablet, LR immediately selects the subject like it used to before the update to 14.3. So could be you are correct that there is something in the LR update causing this. By the way, I even reset the mapping to a very small portion of the tablet to see if that would help, and it did not. The only thing causing me to doubt this is that I haven't heard others complaining about this.

I have the same problem with Lightroom on Windows 11.

Other apps work without problems in combination with the tablet.
This problem occurs with the old wacom intuos Pro (PTH-651/K) and my new 2025 model.

As far as I know this is a Lightroom problem.
Lifting the pen high enough to break to lose connection with the tablet wakes up lightroom and extecutes the commands like zooming in, adjust masks, select other image, etc...
It seems like Lightroom is waiting for some sort of action as long there is connection between tablet and pen.

    Update:
I switched from USB connection to bluetooth connection and then the problem is gone.
When i switch back to USB connection it comes back again.
Seems a problem between Lightroom and the USB connection of the tablet.
Only lightroom had problems with my wacom tablet in USB mode.
    All other apps work fine.
So when i work in lightroom i switch the tablet to bluetooth.

    Hi Erwin Stok

Thanks a lot for sharing this and your workaround.

I will report this to the driver team. Perhaps there is something we can check on our end. Have you already reported this to Adobe as well?

    Cheers
