    Hello Craig Palenshus

    Thanks for reaching out.

Have you eve tried using a replacement USB-C to USB-C cable to connect directly to your Mac? A direct connection is always preferrable so if you could try that it would be great.

Regarding your current dock, is it using an USB-A 2.0 or 3.0 ports? What about the previous docks you used earlier?

Sometimes, there are interference issues when using USB-A 3.0 ports so that could maybe be the reason.

    No, I haven't tried that, but I shouldn't need to, should I?

Regarding the dock, they are USB 3.2 ports.

As you bring up possible interference, please also keep in mind that it ALWAYS works without fail when connected through the EXACT same setup on the PC. Why would there be interference when connected to a Mac and not a PC? Am I missing something here?

    Thank you.

    Hi Craig Palenshus

You don't have to try but the USB-C to USB-C cable but that could help isolate the source of the issue.

I find it very strange that a tablet what works just fine on Windows has connection issues on 2 different Mac computers.

    • Which driver are you running?
    • When the connection issue happens, is the LED still ON?
    • Are there any messages related to Touch?
    • Is the device still detected in the Wacom Center?

I replaced the Mac about 2 months ago and I just updated the new Mac's driver yesterday, so I can't compare apples to apples there, but after updating to the latest driver 6.4.11-2, I still could not get it to connect via USB. So after fighting with it, unplugging, replugging, trying different ports on the dock, etc. I just gave up and left it unplugged because it instantly connects via Bluetooth. That works flawlessly.

    Driver: 6.4.11-2

When connection fails, yes, the LED is ON

There are no messages related to Touch (the tablet is not connected at all)

No, the device is not detected in the Wacom Center. Whenever it does finally get detected, it works correctly. The issue is it doesn't consistently get detected.

I should mention that whenever I reboot the Mac, the tablet will almost always be detected after about 1 minute. It takes a long time, but it usually does work in that case, but after I've had it plugged into the PC, if I unplug the PC and plug in the Mac, the tablet is almost never detected. However, when I unplug the Mac and go to the PC without rebooting it, the PC always instantly connects again.

    Hi Craig Palenshus

Thanks a lot for those details. That means the driver is also fine and the issue is really only the connection.

When connection fails, yes, the LED is ON

This confirms this is not a power issue but a data connection issue.

I should mention that whenever I reboot the Mac, the tablet will almost always be detected after about 1 minute. It takes a long time, but it usually does work in that case, but after I've had it plugged into the PC, if I unplug the PC and plug in the Mac, the tablet is almost never detected.

What happens when you plug back into the Mac and wait a bit like when you reboot? Does it eventually detect the tablet?

If you open the System Info then, does the Intuos Pro show up under USB? https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/syspr35536/mac

If the in case the tablet is detected under USB and the Wacom Center still doesn't see the device, what happens if you open the Wacom Center, and restart the driver from the settings menu (under Troubleshooting Options)?

I really suspect that there might be some strange compatibility issue with the adapter you are using and the Mac USB ports. Please note that while there are specifications, not all adapters are the same and some times, some unexpected behaviour happens. In many cases, these issues get solved by using a different adapter or trying a direct connection.
