Cintiq 27 touch on the fritz
Hi everyone. The screen on my Cintiq 27 appears to have recently given up the ghost.
The display itself is recognised by the computer, and the pen still appears to be registering, since if I have the cursor on my computer monitor and then put the pen to the display, the cursor vanishes presumably on to the Cintiq display. Based on this it seems to be an issue with the screen itself.
When I switch it on however nothing at all will display, not even the WACOM start up logo. It's a DTH2700 which is 6-7 years old, and therefore considered out of service life by Wacom, so they can't or won't help me with any repairs.
I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with Wacom repairs in Australia from a third party. It's an expensive piece of equipment that has since become an expensive dust collector, with no apparent way of getting it repaired.
If anyone can help that would be great.
