Setting up Cintiq 16 on Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt ports
Hi, really hoping someone can help me. I have just bought a brand new Wacom Contiq 16 and a Macbook Pro (running Tahoe 26).
I have downloaded and installed the most recent driver from the Wacom website.
The Macbook Pro does not have a standard USB port, so I have had to also purchase the ALogic Fusion Core USB5 5-in-1 Hub so I can connect both the HDMI and USB cables to the Macbook (as needed from the Cintiq).
The Cintiq will then turn on. The pen works. The Wacom Centre will open ... BUT only the Pen features are available to adjust. When I go to the Display settings and I click on Start to customize the settings, I keep getting the following error message ...
Compatible display device not found - To use this app please connect a compatible display device such as a Cintiq.
I have worked through every fix I can find, including the list from the Wacom site: https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/34849924621975-Does-Wacom-have-a-driver-for-macOS-26-Tahoe
Can anyone help me. Is it because I only have Thunderbolt Ports on the new Macbook?
Any help someone can give me would be greatly apprecaited. I've spent an hour on the phone with a computer tech and two additional hours with Mr Google. Accessibility, privacy, input monitoring ... nothing is helping.
Thanks

Hi Leah Ward,
Can you please confirm which version of the Cintiq 16 you have purchased? One version uses the Display Settings app (DTK1660) and the more recent one (DTK168) has all the settings in the machine itself so it will not work with the Display Settings app.
If you have the former, please check your connections again and make sure the Cintiq is properly detected by the system as a display and that all the Display information is provided. You can do this by opening the System Information MacOS App and checking the connected displays.
If it is being detected as a generic display, then the Display Settings App will not be able to recognize it as a Cintiq. Since you are using an adapter, I would recommend trying a different one with slightly higher specifications.0
