Cintiq 27QHD works as monitor, but not recognized by Wacom Center, and pen not working
03/01/2026
Just upgraded from my 2013 Mac Pro to a new Mac Studio running Tahoe 26.1.
I am using 2 displays - an old Apple Cinema Display, and a Wacom 27QHD.
The Wacom works great as a monitor, but it is not recognized in the Wacom Center, and the pen/stylus does not work.
I have installed the latest drivers, and have made certain that the Wacom is enabled in both Security and Accessibility settings.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, swapped inputs, unplugged and re-plugged the USB cable, and almost pulled out my hair. Would love to hear your thoughts, gang.
Thanks.

Hi Russell Walks,
The Cintiq 27QHD is a legacy device and is no longer supported after driver 6.4.10-3 which also means it is not directly supported in our first driver to support Tahoe.
More info here. You can still install driver Driver 6.4.9-2 which seems to work fine under Tahoe, although you might have some issues interacting with some UI elements of Mac OS.
Driver 6.4.9-2: https://cdn.wacom.com/u/productsupport/drivers/mac/professional/WacomTablet_6.4.9-2.dmg
Note: complete uninstall of the latest driver is required before installing Driver 6.4.9-2.

Running same issue as (Russell Walks:

Thanks.)i am on a M2 mac studio ultra (Tahoe 26.4.1) with a samsung 49" monitor- trying to connect a WACOM CINTIQ PRO 27
connected a wacom intuos large tablet (just to check if the drivers and ports are working), it instantly gets detected and works as intended-the pen works, touch is working... but the wacom cintiq Pro 27 is not showing up in the wacom center app, only performing as an extended display not as a drawing display tablet.
Reinstalling drivers-latest drivers-older drivers-resetting the permissions..everything done...!, but mac just does not seems to detect it as a working tablet.
Suffering huge loss as a digital artist..please provide a stable solution.
