I tried the instructions just above.  After I disable (uncheck) the Wacom driver in Privacy-Security >Input Monitoring and then go to the Wacom Center, it won't restart the driver.  It says Waiting...

Today the driver seems to be mostly working, BUT using the pen, I still can't select a contiguous group of files (in any application) using click-shift-click  AND now I find Ctrl-click doesn't work...
