Wacom Cintiq 16 "No signal/Compatible display device not found"

I'm having the same problem as the one from this post: https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500006336902-My-Wacom-Pen-Display-has-no-image-on-the-display-screen-What-do-I-do-

but I've tried following the guide that's posted in the comments there but I've had no luck fixing it. I've unplugged and re-plugged the cords, restarted the drivers and the computer, and looked at display settings. The pen works and everything else is fine, and the computer detects the device it's just the screen itself that isn't turning on.
