Wacom cable not registering on laptop

So I've had some problems lately with my wacom Intuos, model CTL-4100WL with the cable connecting and disconnecting. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the cable, downloading new drivers, intalling and reinstalling wacom but nothing has worked till finally I want back to bestbut where I originally got my tablet back in 2018 and they told me to get a new cable.
At first it worked!
But now its not doing anything, literally plugged it in and nothing, no white LED light or notification on my laptop that it connected and obviously the pen isn't working when connected
I'm not sure what to do at this point, do I have to get a new tablet? Or is there something else I'm missing?
