Intuos Pro Not Connecting When Plugged In

Hello! I have been encountering a very specific issue that hasnt been happening until recently. my tablet seems to function when not connected (i know the tablet can connect wirelessly, but ive never bothered setting it up so i dont know how). functional as in i can turn it off and on and see the white light turn off and on. but when i plug it in, the orange light turns on for a moment and then both lights turn off. i cant turn on the tablet at all when it does this and it doesnt register on my computer at all. i've tried reinstalling the drivers, ive tried using different cables and all the ports on my computer and nothing. please help
