Can't update my Wacom Intuos firmware
I recently bought a MacBook Pro (2024) and wanted to use my Wacom Intuos tablet with it. I immediately noticed it was very laggy, so I tried to update my firmware. However, the button doesn't do anything. The only thing it does is show a pop-up that says, "Please connect your Wacom device to your computer by USB to continue". My computer doesn't have a USB port, so I used an adapter. This didn't make the pop-up go away, and it never showed up again when clicking the button until I redownloaded the Wacom Center application to troubleshoot a bit. I tried three different adapters and four different wires. I redownloaded the software six times. I restarted my Mac three or four times. I'm not sure what else to do. It's also a Bluetooth tablet, if that matters at all. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help!

Hi Anya Hatten,
Thanks for reaching out. Just to be sure, is there maybe an older computer around you can try the firmware update process with?
When you connect the tablet via cable, are you using the original cable? Does the tablet appear in the Wacom Center under devices?
From your description, seems like there simply a connection issue. Either with the cables, adapter or the USB port on your Intuos.
Note that not all USB cables will be able to transfer data - some will only feed power through them.

Hi! Thank you for the quick response. I tried it on my older laptop, and it still didn't work. But I have hopes that you're right about the cable being an issue! I lost my original Wacom cable, so I'm going to order a new one. I'll check back in if it doesn't work. Thank you so much for the suggestions!
