KC-100 Mouse
I'm certain this post will fall on deaf ears, so to speak. But I must try, yet again.
I've been using a medium Wacom tablet with every Macintosh I've owned for, perhaps 25 years. The Wacom mouse has always been my primary mouse for the Mac. Never used an Apple mouse. Though I've managed to keep my current KC-100 working - replaced faulty switches and recently repaired the plastic piece that surrounds the scroll wheel - I fear it won't be too long before it fails in a way that I can't fix. As you no doubt know, it's nearly impossible to find one for sale. There is one with pen currently for sale on ebay for well over $300 with shipping.
Without a mouse that works directly with the tablet, I will not purchase another Wacom tablet. Tablets without a mouse option are now available for considerably less money. While I certainly do occasionally use the tablet with a pen for graphics related work, it is the mouse that currently binds me to the Wacom tablet.
I've always considered the quality of Wacom's hardware to be first rate, without peer. The drivers, over the years, have been a mixed bag. And now, as I understand it, Wacom's latest drivers no longer support the mouse.
So, as it appears to be a moot point, let this then serve simply as a statement of disappointment and regret for my inevitable abandonment of Wacom products.
