Wacom One 13 cable
Hi,
I own a Wacom One 13 and I really enjoy it. The only negative side I see is the cable which is in my opinion unnecessarily complicated: The connector on the tablet side is USB C, but then the cable splits in three parts: 1xHDMI, 1xUSB A for power and 1xUSB A for the pen data. All these signals could be easily handled by USB C. Why not just having a USB C cable all the way from tablet to laptop/desktop? I tried connecting my own USB C cable and it didn't work. I am not sure if you need a cable with particular characteristics. I can connect other screens to my laptop via USB C without problems.
Let me know if there is a way to make this work. It would simplify carrying the tablet a lot.
Thank you
Giampiero

Hi,
I now see that the newer Wacom One (13 Touch and 12) both feature a single USB-C cable for connectivity. My question now is: Would it be possible to connect my older Wacom One 13.3 inches with a single cable? I could not try the USB-C cables I already have because they do not fit in the opening for the USB-C connector on the device, but I would be willing to buy a Wacom USB-C cable if I knew it was going to work.
Thank you
Giampiero

Hi Giampiero Salvi,
Unfortunately, for the first generation Wacom ONE display, you will need to use the proprietary cable. Despite this port looking like a regular USB-C, it is not compatible with other USB-C type connections.
