Surface Pro 1 has no pen pressure

Hello. Last week my Surface Pro 1 (original Surface Pro) had pen pressure when I would draw. A forced Windows update happened and now the device has no pen pressure and I get a message when I try to setup the Pen Tablet properties “A supported tablet was not found on the system”. Also, when I try the Wacom Tablet Properties I get this message “No Wacom device connected to your computer”. I’m not sure if this is a device issue or a driver issue. Any help would be great! Thank you!

  Hi Randy vanderVlag, 

  That message means your system is not detecting any Wacom device.

  Are you connecting a Wacom Device, or are you using the Surface Pen? If you are using the surface pen, then you need to contact Microsoft. 

  If you are using a Wacom device, check how your device is connected and change the cable if needed. Make sure the power LED on your device is turned ON to make sure it's getting the needed power.

  Hello! I’m not using any plug in Wacom device on my Surface Pro. Never have. I’ve always drawn using the Surface pen and Surface display. So this is a Microsoft issue then? I’ll have to contact them I suppose and see if they have a solution. Thank you!

  Yes, you will need to check with Microsoft then. Specially since from what you say, it was the OS update that caused the issue.
