My Pen isn't working

My pen keeps going in and out, I have tried to re-calibrate it but my pen won't even click the screen at all, I can press the button on the side, but only the top part of it. The pointer shows up on the screen, but it won't let me do anything. Do I need to get a new pen or something? I have gone to the settings and everything, and when I am fiddling with the pressure, it shows that I am in fact putting pressure on the screen and it can feel it, but it still won't click anything

  Same issue. Works for a minute then shuts off. Have to take battery out and reset. Any help?
