I agree. Please make Wacom mice available again. My KC-100-00 just died and I can't find a replacement.

Bumping this thread for the grand potential of having our KC-100-00 become compatible with the 2017 Intuos Pro models. The cursor placement and movement recognition is there, but it seems to be deliberately blocked by the Wacom Center drivers since terminating the associated processes allows it to be used but without receiving the button inputs.

It has been eight months since my KC-100-00 died. I’m still messing with the stylus quirkiness: single tap is regularly NOT a tap/click at all; the accuracy of the placement of the cursor into a scrolling band is arbitrary forcing several tries to hit the exact horizontal point of engagement for the stylus; speaking of accuracy of cursor placement, I’d say two or more clicks are required more often than just one click. The extended time on the Wacom equipment has been a great source of aggravation since my Puck was replaced for no known reasons. Bad move Wacom. — j.c.balcom.

+1 for this, I would love a mouse for my Intous Pro. I have been waiting for the return for quite some time now.

    Hello,
This is a legit question that we are curious about. Why you would prefer a Wacom mouse that would only be useable over an Intuos or Intuos Pro over any other mouse that could be used in almost any surface?

What would be the advantage of one over the other?

Thanks for the excellent question for clarification, João. I've been using Wacom tablets since the 1990s and have always preferred the "puck" (as you say, mouse). Today, Wacom tablets are marketed with an input stylus and only recently discontinued the puck.

The plastic stylus tip and erasers slide entirely to "loosely," when attempting a click or double-click OR even attempting to drop cursor within text. Accuracy in all stylus interaction is just frustrating.

I have had a new Wacom Intuos Pro since June, 2024. The content of the first paragraph here explains my problem as an ACCURACY issue. Clicking several times for any one selection/click/cursor-drop/etc is present in all my interaction with Intuos Pro.

My interface with Wacom tablets, until last June, has always been for me, the Wacom puck. The flat surface of the puck gave excellent resistance in placing exactly where I wanted the cursor, etc. to be. Holding that flat puck in place with my palm, selection was always exactly where I KNEW it was.

Also, while using the puck for drawing or painting is likewise very accurate when compared to my stylus skills. "My stylus skills," are a factor in finding any fault in my using that stylus. I admit openly to that fault.

The suggestion I use, let's say, a standard mouse on blank, flat surface is an impossible expectation for me. The accuracy when illustrating fine details in a painting, a technical drawing and so many other tasks is just not possible for me with, for instance, an Apple or Microsoft Mouse.

I'd like to hear what you think, João.

I have another mouse that works on top of the Wacom intous pro, but as my surface of the wacom is both glossy and matte (where I have used it much) its not optimal for reading position and the glide is not the same all over. I could buy another brand or type to solve that. And yes I could get me some cloth pads or somthing to make it work, but then it does not work on my mousemat when I want to game. Don't happen that often thou..

I want to fast switch between pen and mouse when working in 3D and Photoshop/Affinity Photo, and not have to buy another mouse that I need to charge when working. And I also like to have the same brand..
I am looking at ebay to find one now in new or good condition, but it's hard.

And also, work on your driver for windows for the touch. It could be better. Now I also have a Apple Magic Trackpad with 3-party driver (MagicTrackpad Utility, works awsome!!). I could do it all on the Intous Pro if there was a mouse and the driver was better for touch.

Main things that I would like. Four finger swipe, three finger move and select and the sensitivity is awsome on the Apple Magic Trackpad, maby more settings to use to tweek. I know (as a developer) that there is many more in backend, just make them visible in the UI.

I switch allot during the day as I have been working in front of the computer for many years, and my arm/shoulder needs the variation.

Hi JC Balcom and Fredrik Hallén

Thank you both for your input and explanation. Seems like you have very different use cases and reasons to want a Wacom mouse. That is really interesting.

I cannot make any promises about future products, but I will make sure this information gets to the engineers and to the driver developers.

João, greetings again. Thank you for your response.

I understand Wacom's reluctance to service more hardware than customer demand calls for. If there were an alternative that worked as well as the Wacom KC-100-00, I'd see if I could afford it. If so, I'd buy it.

Since the last response I left in this string, I've noticed Wacom has several multiple-keyed "pucks." Presently, I cannot find the Wacom web pages with information about these "pucks."

    Thank you, again. — j.c.balcom

    Hi JC Balcom,

Perhaps you mean the ExpressKey Remote?
    https://estore.wacom.com/en-de/expresskey-remote-accessory-ack-411050.html?srsltid=AfmBOopNDk_GaYq894IvshKaYqpRMYQB_o0T2cdPBwYBfoPsQQUR0c63

These are just express keys on a remote. There are no means to control a pointer with this device.

If this is not it, then I am not sure what you are referring too.

    • The Wacom mice don't need recharging or new batteries or power over usb. They 'just work'.
    • It doesn't matter that they don't work on other surfaces, because the Wacom tablet is already in place.
    • I prefer a usb powered mouse over a wireless, but a Wacom mouse over a wired mouse still, because it is one less cable that can get in the way and one more usb port that isn't occupied.

Of course, Wacom will sell less if they are € 100 instead of € 25.

They first two Wacom tablets I bought (Graphire 2, Steel Blue edition and later a silver, larger, A4 size) both came with a stylus and mouse included. I think it says something about that it doesn't have to make the Wacom much more expensive. I would understand it if the mouse was left out for economical reasons or preventing e-waste, but at least keep it as an option for the 'pro' tablets, please.

+1 I will love this to work with intuos pro ! Please make it back to work on our latest wacom devices, do not discountinued unless you have a mice (new model) alternative. Thank you taking this into consideration for long term users & brand supporters.
