Cintiq 16 pro won't connect to iMac without extra step
I have an iMac M1. If my Cintiq 16 Pro has been off for a while, when I turn it on it says there is no signal until I disconnect the hub from the computer and reconnect it. It always works fine after that but I'm afraid I'm going to wear out the connector taking it out and back in so many times. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi Kerry Gammill,
Try to connect directly to the iMac instead if using a hub. Your iMac should have Thunderbolt so you shoulb be able to connect directly to the Cintiq Pro 16 with a single cable.
There are reports of Mac computers not being able to properly reconnect to displays after waking up from sleep.

Thanks. It does seem to work better when plugged directly into the iMac. But I can't really use it that way because the cintiq cable is too short. I was also using the hub so I could connect the HDMI cord, but it seems to work fine without it. So the HDMI isn't really necessary? That's news to me. Any advice on getting an extension for the USB cord? I'm afraid if I buy one it may not be the right type and won't work.
Another problem I'm having is the touch screen function. I have it disabled but once in a while to comes on, even though it says it's off. I have to turn it off and back on. get it to stop. Is that a common problem? Thanks.
