Using two Intuos Pro on one PC at the same time?

    Hi Hubertus Leischner

That would work for sure. You can plug as many Wacom devices as you want since they all work independently from each other.

Also the PTK1240 might not support the more recent pens like the Pro Pen 2 or Pro Pen 3, but the more recent devices support older Pens from the generation of the Intuos 4 so you should be fine for a while.

The only thing you need to consider is if you get a more recent model, like a Wacom Movink (the latest model we released) which then will require a much more recent driver than 6.4.3.-1 to be able to run and you can only have one version of the driver installed.

Regarding the XL models, regretfully I don't have any information I can provide on a successor.

    Hello João.

Thank you very much for your reply!

That sounds great for now! Then I'll probably buy two PTH-860-S + Pro Pen 2 soon.

Movink also looks great - but I really appreciate the pen tablets, where I can only draw, but have the image upright and not covered by my hand in front of me. :)

    Kind regards, Hubertus

    Hubertus Leischner sounds good.

Extra tip: If you get 2 of the same model and install the most recent driver, you can change the name of the tablets to be able to distinguish between them when setting up the preferences:

    Hello João.

... now that I've been working with two Wacom Pro tablets for a while and think that's great, I have another important question (I'm currently looking for causes of system crashes - not that there's any connection).
My two tablets are listed in the Wacom Center / Device Manager. (Intuos Pro L PTH 680 + Intuos Pro M PTH 660).

At the same time, you can see the Pro Pen 2 there, which I use - but twice.
Does this mean that a driver is loaded twice for one pen - and can this lead to conflicts in the system?
Can I “forget” one of this virtual Pro Pens in the Wacom Center and the real one will still work on both tablets without any problems?

    LG, Hubertus

    Hi Hubertus Leischner

There is only one instance of the driver running at all times. What the interface means is that the same pen, when being used with one tablet will have a certain predefined or customised settings and another set of settings with another tablet.
E.g. with the same pen, you can set it to use a function with one of the buttons when using the PTH-660 and an entirely different function when using the PTH-680

    Hope that makes sense.

    Hello João

Thanks for the answer! Ah - that's great. So these would be instances that are displayed in the Device Manager / Input Devices (HID)? Is this correct?

    4 drivers are displayed here:

    Wacom Tablet USB\VID_056A&PID_0357&REV_0152&MI_00
    Wacom Tablet USB\VID_056A&PID_0357&REV_0152&MI_02

    Wacom Tablet USB\VID_056A&PID_0358&REV_0150&MI_00
    Wacom Tablet USB\VID_056A&PID_0358&REV_0150&MI_02

Yes. There is typically 2 instances per tablet. Pens don't appear as instances.
