says there is no Wacom device connected - Wacom One
My original Cord got lost in a move, so I ordered a new one, It is Wacom brand, same part number, when I plugged in my tablet it tells me there is no device connected, I redownloaded drives and double checked how everything is plugged in and everything is correct but it is still not working. the screen does display things but the pen does not work and I cannot access any kind of controls, it just says "no wacom device connected"

I'll assume you are using a first generation Wacom ONE (Model DTC-133).
Please make sure the USB-A part of the X-cable (that's the nickname we give it) is connected all the way through and that the USB-C cable is connected to the Wacom ONE in the right direction.
