cintiq 22HD (DTK2200) trouble M1 mac OSX 14.6.1
Hi,
My Cintiq (22HD, DTK2200) does not work how it used to: the pen is not kallibrated and needs the Wacom Center to work again. The Wacom Center sometimes does not load, most of the times it does load after a while, or trying again. The pen seems to work fine after connecting (and sometimes doing the pen and key settings again).
But every time I turn on the computer, this is happening: the cursor is miles away from the pentip. After connecting to wacom center, it seems to work. But as long as I don't adjust monitor settings. And every time after turning the mac off and on, the same issue is there.
The first time this happened was when I added a second HDMI screen to my mac. I thouhgt maybe my cintiq is no longer supported, but it is on the list of supported machines for the latest driver.
Also I tried an intuos pro M (2019) from a friend, it worked fine, but this morning I also had an issue with the tablet not responding. So now I know it is not just my 22HD, but something between Wacom and OSX 14.6.1...
I did many things to get the machine to work again (even thinking to sell it, but I don't really want that). I also unistalled all Wacom stuff as recommended, rebooted, istalled the latest driver, rebooted (with tablet unplugged).
I think the privacy and security settings are fine.
I use a VGA-HDMI connector, this is plugged into a hub together with the USB> the hub uses an usb C and plugs into the usb C port of my M1 macbook pro.
I don't know what to try next. Ideas?

From your description, the Mac is struggling to properly detected the monitors that are connected and mapping the cursor accordingly.
Using so many converters (VGA->HDMI->USB-C) while it might work sometimes, is not really recommended for system stability.
I would recommend that down the like you upgrade your Cintiq 22 to a more updated model that is able to connect directly to your computer without needing extra cables / adapters

Experiencing the same on my end now also in 2025. My cintiq has worked fine on my old PC without any issues. I tried connecting to my new mac mini studio and i have the same problems.
Since i understand there is a need to keep wacom going. It just doesn't make sense to keep spending Thousands of dollars on more hardware that will eventually no longer be supported. Times are tough as it is. this just creating more walls for people trying to educate themselves more and get better jobs.1
