    Hi Alex k

Sorry to read that. Thanks for reaching out.

That is very strange. Normally you wouldn't be able to assign 2 functions to a single key.

Have you tried resetting the tablet settings to the factory default? Can you also disable the keys you currently have programmed to Zoom and/or scroll and see if it still happens?

    Hi João,

Yes I have tried this, I also uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. When I disable the keys, they still scroll/zoom, when I press them once they scroll and when I press twice in succession they zoom in/out. So when I have a key mapped to undo, it performs undo and then scrolls, if I disable that key, it will just scroll.

This happened after the latest Wacom driver update, but Windows 10 also had two updates yesterday(the day the problem started), I ended up installing an older driver from Wacom, but the pen doesn't map correctly to the tablet with older drivers, in fact I updated the driver because I went looking for a solution to that problem, but I decided it was easier to deal with that for now than the ExpressKeys issue since I use them quite a lot.

I also tried removing Windows Ink as much as I could and disabling any drivers Windows has in relation to its own tablet/pen software, but nothing has fixed either issue, so I'm unsure who the issue lies with.

Thank you for responding, I am a student about to work on a short film so any fix would be really helpful.

    Hi Alex k
Thank for the very quick reply.

That is so strange. Just to be sure, can you check if maybe there's an ExpressKey that is being activated wrongfully somehow? If you disable the keys responsible for activating Zoom and Scroll, does this still happen?

It worked this time! Thanks so much, I'm unsure why it didn't work before, is there an issue with the scrolling and zooming actions then? In any case this is enough for me to work as usual, thank you so much for replying quickly.

    Hi Alex k
What solved it? Did you disable the keys that add scroll and zoom programmed?

My guess is that the ExpressKey control board or the switches are defective and wrongfully triggering the zoom and scroll function.

I’m experiencing exactly the same issue. I’ve reinstalled the drivers multiple times, but nothing seems to fix it.
I can’t use the tablet’s side buttons without everything going haywire.
In the diagnostics tool, the correct buttons seem to be recognized, but outside of it, pressing them randomly triggers things like scrolling, the eyedropper tool in Photoshop, Windows Copilot...

    Hi Julien lucas

Are you using App specific settings? Are any of the random actions triggered setup on a specific App?

Have you tried resetting the preferences to default and checking if the same issue repeats?

Also, scrolling, eyedropper and Windows Copilot are all very specific key binds but they have nothing in common so I doubt that there is a physical issue with a key.

Hi, leaving this reply for whoever else runs into this issue since I just experienced it last night.

I use a Wacom Cintiq 22HD DTK-2200. I recently upgraded my computer's motherboard so I had to redownload the latest wacom drivers for it. However, when I opened my art program to draw, every time I pressed one of the ExpressKeys it would perform it's assigned action along with scrolling/zooming in for whatever reason. It would do the same thing if I used a browser or non-art program so I knew it wasn't program specific.

I checked the Diagnostics info to see what was happening. I found that for some reason every time I pressed an ExpressKey or used the touch strip, the values on the 'Left Dial' and 'Right Dial' would change. I'm guessing for some reason it was registering that the tablet had a touch dial instead of having a touch strip.

I resolved the issue by installing an older version of the drivers off the Wacom website. Now the diagnostics correctly say 'Left Touch' and 'Right Touch' instead of Dial, and the values don't randomly change.

I'm pretty sure that I downloaded the correct drivers for my device the first time, so maybe it's a bug with the most recent update?

    Hi Curtis Franklin

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. So to be clear, you had driver 6.4.9-2 installed and your rolled back to the previous 6.4.8 version right?

Thank you for your answers. I downloaded the older drivers, but before testing them, I saw some Reddit posts mentioning OpenTabletDriver, although I wasn't sure why. I gave it a shot first, and it fixed my problem. Honestly, I was on a tight deadline and couldn't afford losing more time due to driver issues. If I feel brave enough, I'll give the older official drivers another shot.

Might be a little late to the game here, but wanted to say that yesterday I updated to the newest driver.  The exact issues that everyone has been describing started happening for me which is super aggravating when you are facing a deadline. THIS IS NOT A CASE OF FAULTY TOUCH STRIPS.  It is however a case of something faulty in the driver.  After switching to the 6.4.8-3 version of the driver my cintiq and it's touchstrip are behaving appropriately.
