Cintiq starts to zoom in when switching from main monitor
I have an issue that bothers me for years now and almost drives me crazy. After Wacom support was never able to help me, maybe some of you have got an answer.
I have to displays. A normal LCD screen and my Cintis 27QHD. When I work on the main LCD screen (with the mouse) and then go back to my Cintiq by clicking on the surface with my pen, it often happens that my Cintiq starts to zoom in continuously. Even when I use my mouse to go back to my main LCD screen, it keeps on zooming/scrolling (in a browser it would be scrolling). After a while and clicking around or rolling the mouse wheel, the endless zooming scrolling stops and I can continue to work. This only happens when I use my pen to go back to the Cintiq. When I use the mouse, this endless loop never starts.
I'm not sure what I can do about it, but it's really annoying as it happens many times throughout the day.
Appreciate any advice.

Hi Andreas Resch,
Thanks for reaching out again. I checked the videos you sent to the support team back in 2022 and I can see what you mean.
We need to find what triggers the zoom and I have a few suspicions. Let me ask you some follow up questions:- When this happens is the device touch input enabled? If yes, does the same happen when you disable it?
- Are you using the ExpressKey Remote that came with the Cintiq? Is Zoom IN assigned to one of the keys? If yes, does the issue stop if you disable this key from the Wacom Tablet Properties?
- Does you Pro Pen have the Zoom function assigned to any of the side buttons? If yes, does the same happen when you disable this?

Hey, Joao.
I've deactivated some settings of the pen and ER that involve scrolling or zooming for default applications. There must be a short moment when switching to the Cintig with the pen, where the driver doesn't recognize the host app I'm moving to and uses the default configuration. Maybe this triggers the zooming/scrolling. For now it has worked.
Thanks. That's was the first helpful tip after years trying to fix it via support.

Hi Andreas Resch,
Glad to hear and more than happy to help.
Honestly looking at your videos, I am not so sure this is a problem when changing apps. I think the problem could be a defective button on the EKR or Pen or ghost inputs on the touch sensor (I have seen this in the past on pen displays). If you're somehow able to isolate the button that triggers this, we can perhaps replace the pen or the EKR.1 -
I have had issues with the EKR from the start. There are occasionally those little navigation windows popping up on my main screen and I have to close them. The EKR always always reminds me that the energy is low although it's plugged in all the time. I wasn't assuming that this also cause the scrolling issue. So it probably was always broken somehow. But as I'm out of warranty I think I will have to live with that. It's not worth the money to buy a new one. Especially as I don't know how much longer my 27QHD will last. It's not the newest tablet any more.

I just wanna thank you again. After a week of work, the zoom issue hasn't appeared once. After all those years you have solved the issue. You have now idea how much less annoying my daily routine has become.
