Wacom Intuos 3, Drivers get replaced by Wacom Center.
Hi,
I've been going crazy the last couple of days, I have an older Intuos 3 and everything is fine, the recommended drivers work flawlessly all is good. Every time I restart the computer I have another completely different driver installed. The newer one that comes with Wacom Center.
As far as I know on the driver side auto-updates wasn't a thing correct?
So I assumed it was Windows updating the Software from the Microsoft Store? But even after that turns off it reliably just deletes the old drivers in favor of the new ones.
What can be done? The old drivers work flawlessly as stated before and the tablet itself doesn't need any support.
I don't remember having this issue on Windows 10. So maybe I'm asking the wrong people here.
Kind Regards

Hi Mal Lumina,
Our driver is no on the Windows store so turning off the updates there won't work.
You will need to disable Windows from automatically upgrading the drivers for peripherals. Please try the steps here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-stop-windows-11-from-downloading-drivers/ccff88ed-76cf-4639-b6d7-391566f3d2d50 -
Hi João,
I was so hopeful that this would work but finally. Today It switched again to the new drivers.
I also contacted the Microsoft support, and they also have no Idea what's going on... Magically auto updating software wasn't on my Bingo card this year. Haha
I'm kinda sad because the tablet is still so fantastic and I'd love to keep using it. But it's so frustrating to deal with this issue.
If you find out anything else please let me know.
Kind Regards,
Mal
