    Hi Martin Bremm

Sorry but I am not sure what you mean by 100%. The current iteration of Precision mode offers a slider between fine and ultra fine.

Could you please clarify exactly what you would like to propose?

Hi João, thank you for asking, I want to explain it more clearly.

My point is to work in a 1:1 scale, so my movements with the pen are at scale with what I see on screen. Now the question is how is this possible.

I use the Wacom Intuos BT M. The surface area that works with the pen measures ca. 21.5mm x 31.5mm. Obviously with big screen displays this is much smaller than the display area. This is why a small movement with the pen is equal to a huge movement on screen and this is where the precision mode comes handy. With the precision mode I limit the screen area my pen-tablet works on to a smaller space.

The problem I see is just the increments I can set the size of the precision mode. The precision mode is either too small or too big.

The following two images explain what I mean. In case of the 1:1 scale, that is what I want, the size of the precision mode should have the width of my wacom (21.5mm).

    Hi Martin Bremm

Thanks for clarifying. Getting a 1:1 with an Intuos tablet would require that you set your display to 5:8 aspect ratio (aspect ratio of the active area of the tablet). It is possible, but tricky and your image on your display would look weird.

If you really need 1:1, then the easiest and best option is to get a pen display. Either a Wacom ONE or a Movink or a Cintiq if you need a larger display.

Yes, a pen display would give the same functionality. But also requires a new product.

Why not add a settings option to choose the size of the precision mode equaly to the size of the pen tablet?

It‘s just a suggestion. I think it could improve the usability.

    Hi Martin Bremm

That is no the intention of precision mode.

What you can do is use the force proportions button to make the active area have the same aspect ration, but this will still not be a 1:1 ration because the resolution of the tablet will not match any display.

The only way to get a try 1:1 is really with a pen display.

Yes, I agree, the precision mode has a different intention.

How about introducing a new mode and call it 1:1 Scale Mode with the following features:

    - Force proportions
    - size of the 1:1 mode equal to the pen tablet area

    Hi Martin Bremm

The Wacom driver cannot define a resolution or aspect ratio for the display. These settings can only be managed at the operating system level though Windows Display settings.

I other words, we can "force" the tablet to match the display, but not "force" the display to match the tablet.

Also, small correction, earlier I said that the tablet has a 5:8 aspect ratio but this is wrong. It's actually a 16:10 aspect ratio (216 x 135)

What you can do is set your display to an equivalent resolution to match the same aspect ratio - for example: 1920 x 1200 - and this will guarantee that the movement will match the same scale horizontally and vertically.

Note that this still wont be true 1:1, but maybe it's enough for your use case.

True 1:1 can only be achieved a display that would match your tablet active area 1:1.

This would be a 10" (size of the active area of the tablet diagonally), 16:10 display.
