Using my Cintiq as a monitor

Howdy, all

So, for all intents and purposes I use my 22" Cintiq as a monitor now. I use it to game and to paint and for everything. It might sound like an odd question, but is this a bad idea? Are Cintiqs really meant to be used as monitors? Or just drawing pads? Will it shorten it's lifespan?

  Hi Max Ashby, 

  It is meant to display an image so you are using it for one of purposes. You don't really need to worry about using it as a monitor.

  PS: I use a Cintiq Pro 27 for everything.
