Cintiq 16 - need to reinstall driver every day
I'm using Cintiq 16 on Mac (Ventura 13.7.6). It worked fine for a couple of years, but the last month I need to reinstall cintiq driver every day. It stopped working without any reason and just driver reinstallation make it working again. How to solve this problem?

Hi Varvara Kurakina,
Thanks for reporting this. If a driver reinstall fixes whatever the issue is, then we can at least rule out any hardware issues for now.
When you say it stops working without reason, what do you see in the Wacom Center? Is there an error message, or is the device not detected? Does this happen when you wake your Mac up from sleep or while you are working?

Now it happens not every day, but once a two or three days. After night sleep mode or after the computer was switched off. So I'm getting the following error: "No Wacom device detected". And after the driver reinstallation it works fine again.

Hi Varvara Kurakina,
That is strange. "No device connected" indicates a connection issue which is consistent with a bug that we are aware of regarding the driver not correctly starting when the Mac wakes up from sleep. Are you sure this also happens just with a reboot?
Cheers

The first time it happened was after switching on my computer after it was off. After that, my computer is in sleeping mode every night and once a 1-3 days this problem with the driver happens

Is there any update about this problem?

Hi Varvara Kurakina,
No update so far. This is related with how Mac OS allows app components to launch after sleep. It is something that takes time to narrow down, develop and test before a solution can be released while also taking into account changes Apple can make to the OS.
There may be a fix in the next Wacom driver release or not. At this point I am not able to tell. Also with Tahoe around the corner, we don't know exactly what else will change and what other bugs may arise after the official release.
