Photoshop does not recognise my wacom one tablet

Hello, I have the latest drivers and version of photoshop, plus driver for my wacom one tablet. The tablet and pen are recognised and usable in any Windows program but stop working immediately (or sometimes after seeming to working for about 4 seconds) once I open photoshop - which is where I want to use them....  Is this a known issue and I wonder if anyone can help? Thanks.
