driver download wont open

Update: contacted windows cs who were able to guide me and bypass S mode. this action cant be undone but allows driver to open and run as intended.

Followed instructions but the driver download looks like an app and windows wants to prevent from opening/running the file. please help.

  Hi n fearn, 

  Windows should be able to verify the driver signature and you should not see this error.

  Please run all Windows updates and try again.

  If you are still seeing this issue, you can still bypass and run the installation by clicking the "Change my app recommendation settings". Just don't forget to change it back once you are done.
