    Hi Vern!

Thanks for reaching out. Yes we are aware of an issue in the current Wacom Windows driver and Core Painter 2023, Adobe Illustrator 2023 and Autodesk Maya. Customers may see the pen stop working, or the application crash completely. The current workaround for this issue is to uninstall the current driver and install the 6.4.0.11 driver.

If you would like to be notified once a new driver is released to fix this issue. Please contact our support team and reference ticket number "1489271" I will also update this thread once the driver is released as well.

So how long will it take to fix those drivers? I had the same issue and rolled back to the old version you linked. And like magic, my Illustrator stopped crashing as soon as i started to draw. At least there's the option to roll back to an old driver version. -.-

The driver team is working on it and a fix will be released in a future driver update.

Frankly, I am outraged that Wacom either hasn't taken the defective driver down or at least cautioned customers about the problem.  I have migrated from Windows 10 to 11 so had to get a new tablet because my Intuous 4 is not supported on 11.  I am using the tablet with Painter 2022 and when I installed the Intuous Pro medium and started using it, Painter would shut itself down after a few keystrokes.  I spent hours trying the usual turning off startup apps and processes, and confirming that my Logitech keyboard and mouse were not the problem.  I have reverted to the older driver, which seems to be working, fingers crossed, but wonder why a newer driver.

Wacom seems to also have failed to provide for the Express Keys View icons and labels to be resized or use different colors.  On my high resolution monitor the icons and text are too small to read.  But this is an issue for another post.

I have the same issue. I have been using a medium BT intuos pad for some time without any problems. I recently upgraded to the Centiq 16 and instantly had issues. Any mouse movement, keystroke, windows click or drag causes windows to freeze and not recover. No program can be used, it will even hang on the start menu and not recover.

The drivers have been updated to the latest driver and the only way to stop the crashing is to uninstall the wacom drivers.

Effectively the centiq and the intuous are now completely unusable. I have tried to use them on other computers and had the same issue.

    Hi Jo Foster

Sorry to read that. Could you please gather some logs to help us understand the issue?

It could also help if you check your Windows event viewer and try to check the crash logs.
