No new drivers. Windows 10 slowly invading all of my settings.
I'm using an Intuos 4 PTK-640
Windows stupid pen features are slowly but surely overruling the settings from the wacom tablet property app.
And yes I've tried (I think) all of the methods of disabeling Windows Ink and "use windows ink" isn't checked.
Windows Ink Workspace is grayed out when I right click my task bar and I've gone to both "Pen & Windows Ink" in settings as well as "Pen and Touch Input" in control panel and turned everything off.
It's been a while since I was able to highlight text and move windows around properly, but as of today my main pen button is now also overriden and that silly circle is showing up again. It now treats the button like a normal mouse click, even though I've set it to right click in the wacom tablet property app.
I can work around this by checking the "Use pen button as right click" in control panel's "Pen and Touch Input", but this sucks and I feel like I'm fighting a battle I won't win :(
The latest driver seems to be three years old now. That's probably the issue here, right?

Hi Alex,
I'm not sure. Seems like you have all the right settings so it should all work fine.
If the circle is appearing again, then you might need to go back and change these settings again.

Hi Joao,
I've done all of these steps years ago. Now these issues are reappearing even though the settings are still all turned off.
Keep in mind the pen button is not doing a right click, but a left click now. Right click is what I want.
I've now put the checkmark in "use the pen button as right-click equivalent back in.
This gives me what I want ( right click on pen button) but I guess now through windows instead of the wacom driver.
It's all very wierd, which is why I thought that I might just have to get a new tablet with up to date driver support.

So what has changed? Did you maybe upgrade your Windows version or something else? The settings usually don't change unless something triggers the change so if you are able to find the trigger, you may be able to find the cause.
I don't have an Intuos 4 that I can use to test this but I also don't think there is a problem with the Intuos 4 specifically. Probably more with Windows settings and/or driver preferences.

I haven't upgraded Windows. I'm on Windows 10 which is technically supported by the last wacom driver for my tablet.
I also doubt that it's the device that's faulty. But Windows is always updating isn't it?
The fact that my tablet isn't getting any new drivers, was the only idea I had for what could be the issue. I wouldn't be posting here if I was certain that that's the case :)

I understand your thinking but I doubt not having updates would cause the settings to reverse. This would happen if maybe you would have made a fresh installation of the Wacom driver.
Yes, Windows is still releasing updates for Windows 10. Perhaps your issue started after updating to one of these releases?
