Technical Challenges with Cintiq in Conjunction with Photoshop
Hello Wacom Community,
I am facing technical challenges with my Cintiq when used in conjunction with Adobe Photoshop (previous versions and 2024). I am seeking insights and solutions from the Wacom community for these issues.
Description of the Problems:
- Interaction Issues with Photoshop: When using the Cintiq with Photoshop, I encounter problems such as the cursor not releasing layers after selecting them, and failures in the drawing function where the software does not recognize the pen being lifted from the screen.
- Intermittent Calibration Error: I experienced a calibration issue where a point on the Cintiq screen did not recognize the central click, requiring clicks outside the target to proceed with calibration.
- Conflicts with Other Applications: Significant conflicts arise when using the Cintiq with Photoshop while other applications like Miro, Zoom, or Google Meets are open.
These problems have persisted through various versions of Photoshop and seem to be related to the use of the Cintiq. I have tried updating the Cintiq drivers, reinstalling Photoshop, and making configuration adjustments, but I am still facing these issues.
I would like to know if other Wacom community users have faced similar challenges and how they resolved them. Any suggestions, tips, or guidance would be extremely valuable.
Thank you in advance for any help or insights you can offer.
Sincerely,
-
Hello William Chamorro,
Welcome to the community and thanks for all the details.
Would you also be able to confirm your operating system and which Cintiq model you own?
I suspect this can be an issue with your pen more than anything else. To exclude any other issues, please check our troubleshooting steps here to start:
