Wacom one screen texture

I just purchased the wacom one and I like it. The only problem I have with it is that the texture of the screen varies all over. The top right hand corner is buttery smooth, then certain parts get rough and scratchy especially the left side. You can't tell the difference with your finger but it's obvious with the pen, it even makes more noise. I seen one other post like this. Is this a known problem or did I get a defective tablet?
