Cintiq Pro 17 pen and touch working (win 11)
I have had a cintiq pro 17, using with windows 11, for about 2 weeks. Using USBA-USBC and HDMI.
Initially it worked fine, although I get a "limited functionality" error every time I plug in the USB. It is plugged directly into the computer. However, periodically the pen/touch will stop working, and the screen will function like a regular monitor. Of note this is not an issue where I need to do display toggle or touch screen calibration; the tablet works then pen/mouse input suddenly stops working. The time to stopping working varies from a few seconds to a few minutes. It will also go days without any issue. Turning the tablet off and on or unplugging and replugging the USBC fixes it, but only briefly. The little light on the side of the tablet turns on when pressing the pen to the screen even when it's not working.
Things I have tried:
-
Using different USB ports and different cables (now using the official Wacom USBA-USBC, but tried several others with same issue)
-
Reinstalling drivers several times
-
Switching the tablet resolution to 4k (saw this in another thread; seemed to help for the longest time period)
-
Turning off power saving in USB root hub

Hi Michelle Sipe,
From your description of the issue, it could be that the driver service somehow stops and then restarts. When this happens, please open the Wacom Center and run a driver check.
Then please connect some logs and contact the support team so we can investigate this further.

Thanks very much, I will do this. It's been working OK for the last day but next time I get the errors again I will do this.
I did look at my motherboard manual and I had the USBA cable plugged into the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port instead of the Gen 2 one so I also moved the plug to that port (although I still get the limited functionality error)
