Cintiq Display Toggle setting is resetting to default

    Hi Lukas Chrapek

There is currently no way to set the Full Display Setup to the default setup. The system will always reset to the default on reboot. This is by design.
The most common use for pen displays is that the pen matches 1:1 what you see on the display and display toggle is only used occasionally when there is the need to interact with elements in other displays.

So far I have not seen other requests to allow a different mode to be the default but if there is enough demand, the driver team can consider implementing this.

    Hi João

Thank you for your answer. I do not look for different modes, I'm absolutely ok with modes they're in already, I just wanna use only one of Display Toggle mode to interact with other displays and that is Full Display setup. So when I work I can interact with other displays and move windows between screens and stuff and toggle back to Cintiq to continue work and not need to toggle between other displays.  I'm used to it, and it worked before it was moved to Wacom Center and when I change it as is on 2nd picture, it's working as I want, but setting is not "saved" and it always reset to "default" (1st picture) after PC restart and I want to keep it as is on 2nd picture, without changing it every PC startup.

    Hi Lukas Chrapek
    Sorry I forgot to answer.
I noticed in your system that your have a displays named as "Generic PnP Monitor". This means that Windows is not getting this display EDID like it gets for the Cintiq and your "L32p-30" named Monitor. This is a problem because since there is no real identifier for this monitor, Windows will consider this a "new" monitor every time you restart the system. Please check this display's connection and see if you can get your system to recognize this display properly and then Windows and the Wacom driver should be able to remember your settings with all your displays if they are correctly identified.

    Hello,
Please check if my answer to Lukas above also fits your situation.

This same reset happens on Mac. It's absolutely infuriating.

I used to roll back my Wacom software for this very reason, but now that doesn't work either. It resets to default after sleeping or restart.

I have a laptop and 3 external monitors, including the cintiq. The Mac knows all of them. My work flow is the same this users. I would like it to stay on my preferred "Full display setup", with the individual monitors unselected.

João Thank you for the message. I fix that Generic PnP Monitor on my main monitor, but it is still happening. It didn't fix that problem. Either after turn off, restart or even from Sleep, it will reset to default, do not matter if I change it, it will end up in default.
It was happening on different rig with different Win11 installation, it looks like it is Wacom drivers issue.

    Hello,

I have read all the comments and have tried the various advice given. My comment is here to add awareness to the Wacom team to fix the issue. I am having this issue when switching to a another desk with different monitors. My request is if the "Display Toggle" settings under the "Wacom Tablet" tab in "System Settings" (Mac+Sonoma) can be saved. They keep getting reset. ExpressKeys, Touch Ring, Shortcuts all remember their settings except for "Display Toggle". Please fix this.

Same problem here. I've been using Wacom for more than 20 years and it used to work perfectly with in the Mac system settings. Now that it moved to Wacom center, it keeps on defaulting after every screensaver. Wacom needs to fix this.

I am relieved that Wacom considers this a bug and that a solution may be in sight. I have always worked in full screen mode (Wacom tablet customer since 1997, Cintiq user since launch). It drives me nuts that I must go into Wacom Center after restarting and press that button. Thank you.

    Hi Maria Pena

Sorry I forgot to update this thread. A fix for this issue should have been fixed in the last release. Can you please install the latest driver and confirm?

    Thank you João,

It seems like the new update has fixed the issue. But now there seems to be another issue that's new. Whenever I click on Adobe program window this pops up.

It only used to pop up when I display toggle but now it also happens when:

    1. I am working on non-Adobe program and then click on a Adobe program

    2. I am working on an Adobe program and then click on a non-Adobe program.

So basically if I move from or to Adobe program. It doesn't happen if I move from a non-Adobe program to non-Adobe program, for example from Safari to Firefox or Excel.

I am not toggling the screen so I don't need it to constantly telling me I'm on the "All display" mode. Since I need to switch between programs very often to copy and paste stuff, this is very annoying. Could you please help?

    Thank you.

    Hi Jisung Choi

Thanks for confirming the first problem is solved and for letting us know about the new issue.
Luckily, we are aware of this. This happens when the driver is switching between using Windows Ink and Wintab APIs.

I would recommend that for the time being you disable this Icon through disabling ExpressView (if you don't need it).

    1. Select your device in Wacom Center
    2. Click on "Advanced" on the right side of the Wacom Center
    3. Disable "Express View"

Great! Thanks João! This works. By the way, I am on a Mac if it helps.

Interesting. That might be a new bug we are not aware...

Do you have different Wacom settings for your Adobe Apps? If yes, do any of these settings involve a different Mapping or display setup?

    João

No, I don't have any special setting or mapping for any programs. I am on a latest Macbook Pro 14inch with Sequoia 15.3 connected to a Movink and a LG 35 inch display. So 3 displays. My toggle is from Movink only to All Display.
