MacOs Tahoe 26 x Adobe Illustrator x Wacom drivers problem
Hello, I understand that it is too early and I will wait for the updated Wacom Intuos MacOs Tahoe drivers (thank you in advance 🙏🏻 But one more, super important thing, please: Yesterday, all of my Adobe Apps were working fine after MacOs update, except for Illustrator which kept freezing, crashing, wouldn't launch.
We explored the issue with Adobe support and it turned out that Wacom drivers running on background are the most probable cause of Illustrator crashing. After disabling - the issue disappeared. (Let alone that I can't connect my tablet). I know that it is mainly on the side of Adobe and that we need their updates first, however, I though that it might be useful to let to know Wacom developers team as well 🙂

Hi Anna Smejkalova,
Thanks for reaching out and reporting this.
FYI, the new driver supports Tahoe is available here: https://www.wacom.com/en-de/support/product-support/drivers
Can you please try to install it and see if the issue persists? If it does, then we will need some additional details. Anything you can provide on how to reproduce the crash will be helpful.

Hey, João, thank you for your reply! 🙂 I installed my Wacom Intuos using updated drivers from the link you provided again, have been testing it and everything seems to work perfectly, no troubles with Illustrator🤞🏻
Hopefully it will be ok from now on.
My presumption about drives not being released yet was based on this article https://support.wacom.com/hc/en-us/articles/34849924621975-Does-Wacom-have-a-driver-for-macOS-26-Tahoe, sorry for not searching more attentively.
I will only reach out in case of further troubles, thank you again 😊
Kind regards, Anna0 -
Hi Anna Smejkalova,
Thanks a lot for letting me know that the issue is gone.
Feel free to reach out any time. The truth is the driver team knocked it out of the park and the actual driver was released before we could update the documentation. In the past we always needed a bit longer to let the OS release stabilize.

Hi João
Unable to Use macOS System Functions with Wacom Intuos S BT (CTL-4100WL)
Dear Support Team,
I am currently experiencing an issue where I am unable to use system functions on my Mac Tahoe with my Wacom pen tablet, including AirDrop, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other control bar functions.
I am using:
-
Device: Wacom Intuos S BT (CTL-4100WL, 2018)
-
Driver: Wacom macOS Driver 6.4.11-1
Could you please advise me on how to resolve this bug so that I can restore full functionality?
I am currently working around the issue by using a regular mouse instead of the pen tablet whenever I need to use AirDrop or turn Bluetooth on and off.
Thank you for your assistance.

This is a known issue on Apple side and there is currently no workaround. This has been documented here:

Hi João
Thank you for answering my question.0 -
Hi João
I am currently having issues with my ProPen 2. I use the Intuos Pro M PTH-660 have the updated driver Version 6.4.11-1 and I'm still having a poor experience with the pen clicks, drags, and zooms in Adobe Illustrator and overall in Tahoe as well. I can't properly click on a window's corner to expand / or drag and it won't 'grab' the area / corner to adjust. I have this problem in all apps. Also selecting a path or anchor in Adobe Illustrator is an issue. It won't select them. Dragging files from OS windows to open in apps is a struggle as well. It will grab and mid drag release. Please advise the best way to fix this issue. Hoping someone else has already addressed and I just missed the fix.

Hi Courtney Walker,
The interaction with UI issue is known and has been documented. This is due to a change on Mac OS Tahoe from the previous version. It has been reported to Apple but we are also looking into a workaround.

As for Illustrator, I am not sure has I have not seen other customers report this. Would you mind collecting logs and contacting the support team directly?

Courtney Walker I am still having this problem - even just trying to write this comment - and it's driving me crazy. It makes my workflow far too difficult. And I am using the 6.4.12-3 driver. Please fix this, Wacom!
