Cintiq 16 shuts off in 10 mins -- iMac OS14

I have a difficult problem with my Cintiq 16 I purchased in Oct 2023.  It was working fine on my iMac OS 13 until I upgraded to OS 14.  Now the Cintiq 16 automatically shuts off between 5-10 minutes.  It does not matter if it is dormant or if I am working on it.  It just shuts off.  The power light blinks, the screen is black, and there is no reaction to the pen or keyboard.  I then press the power button to restart and it comes back up for another 5-10 minutes.  I have had Wacom support working on this problem for over two weeks without any results.  

The odd thing is that the Cintiq 16 works fine on my wife's imac OS 10 and on my PC Windows 11.  

Any suggestions???

  Hi Alan Lipinski, 

  If it works fine with 2 other computers, then the issue might be related with your main computer. Please check: 

  • When it shuts off, do you see a "no input signal" message on the display, or is it straight to black?

  • Does the issue stop if you replace the cables or any adapters you may be using?

  • When it happens, is any component still detected in the Wacom Center and the System Information under Graphics/Displays

  Without answering your questions, I just hit upon something that might give you a better picture of what is going on with my Cintiq16 and iMac (M1) OS14.2.1.  

  I removed the Wacom driver from my iMac and am using the Cintiq as a 2nd monitor.  The Cintiq is now staying on all the time without shutting off.  Then I installed the Wacom driver 6.4.4-5 and the Cintiq shutdown in 10 mins or so.  Message 'No Signal,  Goto Power Savings Mode'. Then the screen is black and inoperative with the pen. The power light is flashing. Need to restart the Cintiq to continue with my project.

  What does this tell you about my problem??
